joyful ancestral connection and lunar priestess wisdom from early Mesopotamia
SHILIM. (PEACE.)
I'm Lisa Moriah,
shamanic guide, sound healer and entu (priestess) of Nanna, the Sumerian moon god
I believe our bodies and voices are portals to ancestral encounter ... human and divine.
My mission is to revive the beloved temple of Nanna at Harran, known for 2500 years as E.Hul.Hul or House of Rejoicing, as an online sanctuary for Mesopotamian wisdom.
My work is especially potent for Jews, Christians and Muslims who are drawn to trace the "red thread" of their spiritual heritage back to the temples of Sumer and Akkad.

For those drawn to early Mesopotamia, welcoming the ancestors into our lives brings a flood of joy, purpose and emotional resource.
It also can resolve many lingering questions and spiritual traumas rooted in "traditional" monotheistic teachings, such as those found in Judaism, Christianity or Islam.
(n.) Divine Lady ; a priestess
Millennias ago, the world's first-recorded priestesses served as ritual wives of the Annuna or "shining gods," advising kings in Mesopotamia, Anatolia and Canaan. One of the most famous is history's first-named writer and poet, Enheduanna, who was Nanna's entu at Ur.
It's time to re-anchor this priestess tradition.
Tracing the red thread from the Bible, backwards ...
I was born into a Christian family, converted as a liberal Jew, and spent seven years in Muslim countries. The Abrahamic spiritual traditions have played a pivotal role in my path ... all of which trace their origins to Mesopotamia.
In fact, "monotheism" is how Sumerian and Akkadian ancestors first reached out to me. Learning that the matriarchs in the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament) … Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel and Leah … were from priestesses from Sumero-Akkadian cultures changed my life. I took them as ancestral guides for a journey back to origins.
Following in their footsteps, I found my way to somatic sound healing, ancestral lineage work, and ultimately to Harran, in southeast Türkiye, where I visited the old site of Nanna / Sīn's temple. Following months in Harran, and a long discernment process, I was activated by the land and its spirit guardians into entu service.
Ancestral connection transformed my life. It lifted me out of loneliness and into a joyful sense of community, belonging and purpose. Now, I am honored to support many other ancestral seekers as they traverse dimensions, forging their own life-renewing relationships with the Ones Who Came Before.

My priestess background includes Magdalene, Kohenet and Egyptian influences. For five years I ran a small temple to Goddess in the Abrahamic traditions, Temple of Divine Radiance, before pioneering this Mesopotamian priestess path.
My work as an entu is designed to embody sacred union with the Divine Masculine, reclaiming the old priestess path of walking as the "wife of a god." My daily rituals and practices are always being more finely attuned to those found on early ṭuppu … clay tablets pressed with uniform writing.
Currently I reside in Cairo, Egypt, though I often travel to the site of Nanna's temple at Harran, to various other parts of Mesopotamia and even to Sinai, another land where Nanna (Sīn) was long beloved and worshipped.
know any priestesses of Mesopotamia? Think again ...
Mesopotamia birthed the mothers of Abrahamic tradition and left a legacy that's still present in religion today.
What clients say
Much of my work is birthed in Harran, in southeastern Türkiye ~ origin point for Abrahamic religions
At Harran, the patriarch Abraham and his wife Sarah (both from Sumero-Akkadian cultures) heard the divine call to Lech L'cha ... go forth ... to Canaan. It's my joy to shamanically tend this ground where Nanna / Sīn's temple once stood, with the permission of local people.
Most of us are unaware how much magic, mystery, medicine and ... yes ... money awaits in our voices.
Learn about the sound of your own voice and the vibration of your body as keys to unlock feminine embodiment and service. The ancient somatic sound medicine that I practice (rooted in Mesopotamian tradition) is accessible and effective for everyone.
